New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (NSO) offers a great jump start to the Fall semester. Our 1-hour sessions are designed to be informative and customized to our attendees' needs.

The SVCC New Student Orientation dates and times are:

• Christanna Campus (109 Campus Drive, Alberta, VA 23821)
  • July 11 - 10:30 AM
  • July 18 - 1:00 PM
  • July 25 - 1:00 PM
  • August 1 - 10:30 AM
• John H. Daniel Campus (200 Daniel Road, Keysville, VA 23947)
  • July 11  - 1:00 PM
  • July 18 - 10:30 AM
  • July 25 - 10:30 AM
  • August 1 - 1:00 PM
• After each 1-hour session, students will have the opportunity to:
  • register for fall classes,
  • complete financial aid,
  • take a campus tour,
  • receive their SVCC student ID,
  • and receive help with setting up their MySVCC account.

Registration is required and space is limited for each session.

Special Sessions

Health Sciences Sessions -  Interested in applying to one of SVCC's nursing programs? Join Mrs. Amanda Shook, Health Sciences Counselor, for a special health sciences session immediately following the 1-hour NSO session on:

• Thursday, July 11th at 10:30 AM (Christanna Campus)
• Thursday, July 18th at 10:30 AM (John H. Daniel Campus)

Panther Parents and Partners - Attending college is a huge step. We invited parents and the support systems of our future Panthers to take the journey with them and attend the Panther Parents and Partners session on:

• Thursday, July 25th at 10:30 AM (John H. Daniel Campus)
• Thursday, August 1st at 10:30 AM (Christanna Campus)

The Panther Parents and Partners sessions will offer helpful tips and information from our college leadership followed by a Q&A period.
