Comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 4,600 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,500 journals and a total of more than 10,000 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full-text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for nearly 1,000 journals.

African-American Poetry

A collection of over 2,500 poems. It provides a survey of African American poetry from the earliest published African American poems to the works of Paul Laurence Dunbar. American Poetry

To 1900, includes 1,288 works by 209 poets, along with six landmark anthologies of American poetry. The database gathers the works of the most influential American poets, from the Colonial period to the early twentieth century. The bibliographic basis for American Poetry is the Bibliography of American Literature, Yale University Press, 1955-1991.

Digital Library and Archives (DLA)

DLA, a department in the University Libraries at Virginia Tech, evolved from the Scholarly Communications Project (SCP) begun in 1989. Project's focus is to work with the university community to host born-digital works, beginning in 1991 with the faculty-edited electronic journals. In 1995 included electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs) completed by VT graduate students. In 1996 SCP and the Special Collections Department merged to enhance access to rare books, manuscript collections, and the University Archives

Economia y Negocios

A collaborative effort between EBSCO Publishing and Universidad ESAN (Escuela de Administración de Negocios para Graduados). More than 82,000 records, dating back to the early 1980s, provide coverage for more than 320spanish and Portuguese-language periodicals published in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the United States and elsewhere.

English Poetry

Contains poems in English from Anglo-Saxon times to the end of the nineteenth century by writers from the British Isles. It covers the works of 1,257 named poets and many items by different anonymous hands. In the pre- 1500 period alone there are more than 2000 separate chronicles, romances, lyrics, and miscellaneous poems. The Tudor and Jacobean period are represented by over 35,000 different poems and from the nineteenth century there are 80,000 poems. Overall the collection contains over 165,000 poems which have been drawn from about 4,500 separate printed sources. The entire text of each poem is included.
