This program is designed to prepare the student for entry-level positions in manufacturing environments utilizing conventinal and CNC machining equipment. Concepts covered include mathematical applications in machining, drawings as a communication tool, and exposure to a variety of equipment in manufacturing. Program completers will gain a foundation of understanding and basic competencies in both types of machininig which will qualify them for entry level positions such as inspector, lathe, milling, drilling, or grinding machine operators/machininst.
The Advanced Manufacturing Technology Program prepares students for entry level positions in the advanced manufacturing industry. Courses in the curriculuum in clude, Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Introduction to Computer Numeric Controls, Electricity, Residential Wiring, Technical Math, and Introduction to Technical Applications in Manufacturing.
