The Welding Certificate Program provides advanced level welder skill training. Welding is a manual skill that takes many, many years to master. The SVCC Welding Certificate program provides a firm foundation of skills students will be able to build a rewarding welding career upon. Consisting of 34 credit hours, the Welding Certificate program is designed continue skill training from the Welding Career Studies Certificate Program. This includes training in more advanced techniques such as open root welding and pipe welding. These advanced skills and broader knowledge base can lead to higher pay and more career opportunities.

Welder Certification Testing is available to all SVCC welding student free of charge for the Fall 2016/Spring 2017 school year. Certification tests can be taken in plate or pipe in a variety of positions and processes. Take advantage of this great opportunity!
