Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, and Phlebotomy

SVCC offers Nurse Aide courses throughout our service area through our Center for Workforce Development. Upon successful completion of the program students receive the certificate needed to take the Virginia NNAAP (National Nurse Aide Assessment Program) Exam to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). The College offers this program year round throughout the service area, with some programs taught during the day and some programs in the evening.

Occupational objectives for this program include working as a CNA in health-related agencies including nursing homes and hospitals as well as home health positions acquired through placement agencies or private arrangements. There are many job opportunities in Southside Virginia for CNAs!
