Black History Month Celebrations

As a pre-celebration of Black History Month members of the WISE program and Student Ambassadors attended a presentation at Longwood University hosted by a curator for the National African American History Museum on January 31st. Our next off-campus event for Black History Month will be on Tuesday, February 13th at the Moton Museum in Farmville, VA at 6:30pm. The presentation is called: The Spirit of Harriet Tubman. On Thursday, February 15th students will be attending a presentation entitled: The Power of Speaking Up at Richard Bland College of William and Mary. Transportation will be provided from both main campuses. Interested students should contact Student Activities.
