RECERTIFICATION POINTS FOR TEACHERS AVAILABLE THROUGH SVCC COURSE

Southside Virginia Community College is offering a course in Teaching Basic Academic Skills to Exceptional Children (EDU 254).  This three credit course teaches competencies required to teach readiness and basic skills to children with special needs in private or public school settings.  The course includes information on the preparation of lesson plans, instructional units and Individualized Education Programs (IEP’s).

This is a great way  for teachers to receive recertification points and the class will be taught online.  The course begins January 7 and ends May 4, 2009.
