Dietrich Fields, a native of Paterson, New Jersey, completed his Associate in Applied Science Degree in Human Services from Southside Virginia Community College. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science from Bluefield College. He is employed full-time with Southside Community Services Board and has been a Mental Health Case Manager for over 10 years.
He specializes in working with adults, children, and young adults dealing with mental health challenges that impact their activities of daily living at home, school, and in the community. He has worked with individuals of all abilities and can't imagine doing anything else with his life.
Certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor by the National Council for Community Behavioral HealthCare, Dietrich is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Married with a loving wife and children, Dietrich enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Looking forward to pursuing his Master's Degree, Dietrich comments "I thank SVCC for having a good learning environment, which motivated me to continue to press on. It has opened so many doors".
