SVCC To Offer Courses in Farmville, Buckingham & Cumberland

Farmville

Southside Virginia Community College will offer several courses at the Prince Edward Vo Tech Center beginning in January.

A 3-credit Introduction to Computer Applications and Concepts course (ITE 115-58) will be offered on Tuesday nights’ beginning on January 12 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Another section of Computer Applications and Concepts (ITE 115-5A) will be offered on Thursday nights beginning on January 14 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

A 1-credit Investing course will be offered on Thursday nights beginning January 28 for five consecutive weeks from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

A 1-credit Digital Photography course will be offered for five consecutive Thursday nights’ beginning February 4 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Buckingham

Southside Virginia Community College will offer several classes in Buckingham County beginning in January.

A 3-credit Introduction to Welding class (WEL 120-98) will be offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning on January 11 from 6:00-8:30 in the Buckingham Voc-tech building.

An Introduction to Business (BUS 100-98) course will be offered starting on January 12 on Tuesday nights from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

A 1-credit Beginning Ball Room Dancing class (PED 171-98) will also be offered on Tuesday nights beginning January 12 from 6:00-8:00 in the Buckingham County High School cafeteria.

A 3-credit Introduction to Computer Applications course (ITE 115-98) will be offered on Thursday evenings beginning January 14 from 6:30-9:30 at the Buckingham Voc-tech Center as will a Business Law (BUS 100-98) course.

A 1-credit Digital Photo Editing (ITE 195-98) will begin on February 1 and run for five weeks from 6-9 p.m.

Cumberland

Southside Virginia Community College has a variety of classes scheduled to be held in Cumberland County beginning in January.

A Nurse Aid class (NUR 195-88) will begin on Monday, January 11 at 12:00 noon in the Luther P. Jackson Center with classes scheduled from noon to 10 p.m. each Monday while an Introduction to Corrections course (ADJ 140-88) will run from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. beginning the same day.

An Introduction to Computer Applications and Concepts (ITE 115-88) class will begin on Tuesday, January 12 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. as will an Introduction to Yoga class (PED 109-88) course from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Luther P. Jackson Center.

A Survey of Criminal Justice (ADJ 100-88)) class will begin on Wednesday, January 13 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Luther P. Jackson Center.

A Spreadsheet Software I (ITE 140-88) class will begin on Thursday, January 14 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Luther P. Jackson Center.
