Nursing Graduates

Southside Virginia Community College graduated the largest ever class of Associate Degree Nursing Students (eligible to take the State Boards to become Registered Nurses) recently.  These 38 graduates received their nursing pins on May 13, 2009 in a ceremony held at the Christanna Campus in Alberta.

Nursing Graduates

Started in the fall of 2002, this program, made possible through a partnership between SVCC and Community Memorial HealthCenter in South Hill, Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center in Emporia, Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston and Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, allows students to  live in Southside Virginia and still receive this training through the local community college and area hospitals. It is a highly successful program that has graduated many nurses who have remained in the area to staff facilities in Southside Virginia.
