Math Conference Scheduled at SVCC

The "Virginia Mathmatical Association of Two Year Colleges" (VMATC) will hold their 2010 annual conference on April 2nd and 3rd, 2010 at the John H. Daniel campus of Southside Virginia Community College.

About a hundred math and computer faculty from Virginia's Community College system are expected to attend. Participants will hear math and computer presentations during the day and a half program. The 2009 conference was held at the New River Community College.

This year's conference slogan is "Unlock your potential with math." SVCC's Pardha Gadiyaram is the host site coordinator. He says the annual event is "very special" and that SVCC is "honored to have this conference on our campus."
