SVCC Students Attend Conference

SVCC students from Christanna Campus attended the 2009 VCCS Student Leadership Conference from November 6 – 8 at the Hotel Roanoke, in Roanoke, VA.  The students were chosen from nominations by faculty, staff and administrators.  It was an opportunity for community colleges across the VCCS to recognize those who present outstanding leadership qualities through their contributions to the student body and campus community.  

The theme for the Leadership Conference was “Leaders on Track.”   Nationally known speakers, Jonathan Sprinkles and Tom Krieglestein, as well as numerous concurrent session presenters, energized the approximately 470 students from  community colleges all over Virginia.
