College Schedules Seminar on Job Loss And Job Uncertainty

Southside Virginia Community College will host a special seminar "Weathering the Storm: How to Cope with Job Loss and Uncertainty" on the school's Christanna Campus in Alberta on Wednesday, June 17th.

To be held at the school's John J. Cavan Workforce Development Center, the seminar will feature Organizational and Career Specialist Nancy Eckert. She will speak on "dealing with the emotional aspects of job loss" from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM and on "how to reinvent ourselves when the work we have always done is no longer available" from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.

If you are attending the seminar, you are encouraged to dress professionally and bring copies of your resume so you can meet with employers who will be on campus that afternoon.

Chips and a beverage will be provided but you are encouraged to bring a sandwich.
