Halloween Event

SVCC Daniel Campus held its 3rd Annual Community Trick or Treat Extravaganza, Friday, October 30th from 5 - 7 p.m. More than 180 children came on campus to participate in the Bear Factory, Monster Walk, Crafty Corner, Make Your Own Candy, Potato Decorating and other activities.

The winners of the Potatoes VS Pumpkins Contest (below) are: Mary Fowler, Best Carved Pumpkin (left); Stephanie Lewis - SVHEC Middle College, Best Decorated & Best Overall Pumpkin (center); Brianna Dunn, Best Decorated Potato (right).

We would like to thank everyone who donated candy, cakes, time and energy to make this event a success! In addition, a special thanks to the volunteers from Alpha Phi Omega of Longwood University, Chris Dickerson from Buildings and Grounds, and the SVCC Work Study volunteers.

Southside Virginia Community College is dedicated to the belief that all citizens should be given an opportunity to acquire an educational foundation that develops and extends their skills and knowledge. The college’s goal is to provide diverse instructional programs ranging from developmental studies to associate degree curricula in academic, technical / vocational, lifelong education, and workforce development. Through various activities, to include distance learning, students will also have the opportunity to develop their roles and responsibilities as participants in a changing society. Privacy
