Golf Tourney Winners
Southside Virginia Community Foundation Scholarship Classic 2009 was held June 3 at the Lake Gaston Golf Club in Gasburg. This was the second event of its kind to raise funds for the SVCC Foundation.
The First Place Team in the Championship Flight (Above) was the Corey Morris Team with players (upper left photo, Left to Right) Keith Hamm, Al Wood, Charlie Babb and Corey Morris. The Second Place team in this Flight is Lifestar Ambulance with Team members (middle right photo, Left to Right) Dean Adams, Mike Scott, Jim Wilson and Robert Coltrane. The third place team was the Briery Boys featuring players (lower left photo, Left to Right)Nick Dunn, Warren Agee, Larry Dunn and Matt Dunn.
 The First Place Team in the Lower Championship Flight (Above) was Sandhills Utility with players (upper left above, Left to Right) Arthur Miles, Jeff Brown, Mark Jones, and Jack Edgerton. The second place team in this flight was (middle right above, l to r) the Edward Childress team of Butch King, Ray Hvason, Ed Childress, Charlie Bailey and Third Place went to the team of Charles Hudson with players (lower left above, l to r)Stephen Walker, Bill Wilson, Tim Newton and Charles Hudson.
 The First Place Team in the First Flight (Above) is Greensville Sheriff’s Department Team #1 who are (above upper right, Left to Right) L.B. Ligon III, James Edwards, Bryan Moore, and Tim Jarrett. Second place in First Flight is Virginia Trane consisting of (above middle left, L to R) Adam Clary, Danny Grounard, Myra Quicke and James Warf and the Third Place Team is Greensville Sheriff’s Department Team #2 who are (above lower right, L to R) Everett Sykes, L.B. Ligon, Hayden Hall and Barbara Stroud.
