Contest Winners

contest winners The Fifth Annual African American History Contest was sponsored recently by Southside Virginia Community College and featured monetary prizes of $200, $100 and $50 for winners in several categories.

The Awards Luncheon was held on March 30 at the Estes Community Center in Chase City to honor winners and present prizes. Contest questions are compiled each year by Saleem Abdul-Basir, a graduate of SVCC.
