Kristina Ward graduated from Southside Virginia Community College in 2005 with an AA&S in General Studies and transferred to Longwood University under the University Parallel program. While at SVCC, Kristina worked in the library under the work-study program. The work-study program gave Kristina the flexibility to work during breaks in her class schedule. She was also inducted into Phi Beta Sigma, the National Honor Society for two-year colleges, and served as Vice-President of SVCC’s chapter until graduation.
Ward graduated from Longwood University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a Minor in Criminal Justice in 2007. SVCC and Longwood University were perfect choices for Kristina because she was able to work while attending classes and she was able to be near her family and the community in which she grew up in. After graduating, she has worked at Southside Virginia Community College as a Temporary Education Support Specialist and at Hampton Inn Farmville as a Guest Services Manager.
Kristina currently resides in Manassas, VA where she is a TCE Senior Evaluator for American Public University System. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Criminal Justice. She stays active in her community by volunteering with her sorority.
