Holly Elliott is a full-time employee, student and mom from Buffalo Junction, Virginia. She started taking classes through Southside Virginia Community College as a dual-enrollment student while in high school in Halifax County. She graduated from SVCC in the spring of 2011 with an Associate Degree in Business Administration. Immediately after graduation, Holly transferred to Mary Baldwin College, from where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business, with a minor in Marketing.
While working toward her Bachelor's Degree, she started working full-time in the IT industry at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). Still employed by HPE, where she works on process and procedures, Holly continued her education at the IT academy offered at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center in South Boston, Virginia. To date, she has earned CompTIA A+ and Server+ certifications.
Even though Holly acknowledges that there are challenges in being a mother, student, and working full-time, she plans to continue her education to further build her technical skills in IT for the next few years.
