Cassidy Michael Nathaniel Stinson graduated from Southside Virginia Community College in 2011. During his time at SVCC, he was a member of the Honors Program and received several awards, including the Coca-Cola Silver Scholar and All-USA Academic Team. Cassidy also served as Chapter President for SVCC's Alpha Theta Upsilon chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society.
After graduating from SVCC, Cassidy attended the College of William and Mary, where he graduated with honors in 2013 with a degree in Classical Civilization, and was a member of the Omega chapter of the Eta Sigma Phi National Classical Studies Honors Society.
Currently, Cassidy attends Theological College National Seminary at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where he is part of a six-year program studying for the Roman Catholic priesthood as part of the STB/M.Div program in the School of Theology. He greatly enjoys the opportunities his career gives him for speaking and community service throughout Virginia and the District of Columbia, and considers the support of the professors and staff of SVCC an integral part of his success.
According to Cassidy, “SVCC is filled with opportunities and programs to help you move quickly toward success in nearly any career. Your professors are accessible, and they want you to succeed – show initiative, take advantage of your time and instructors, and you can go anywhere!”
