Writer's Forum Held

The Eighth Writer’s Forum sponsored by the Regional Literacy Coordinatring Committee Region was held at Southside Virginia Community College in Keysville on October 13, 2008. 

Student writings from Planning District 13 and 14 were gathered and placed in a booklet presented to each audience member.  Adult students with a united goal to better their educational level and improve their place in their families and the community participated and many attended to read their submissions on the subject, the 2008 Presidential Election.

Among the participants are Tanisha Carson of Buckingham; Doretha Baskerville of Mecklenburg; Felisha Taylor of Nottoway; Helen Gordon of  Nottoway; Sherrie Torreyson of Brunswick; Estella Smith of Buckingham.
