Great Expectations

     

Great Expectations
The Great Expectations Education Program for Foster Youth at Southside Virginia Community College helps current and former foster youth
(ages 17-24) explore career possibilities, enroll in and complete college, and assistance with completing financial aid.  

 
Services Available:
    • Assistance with choosing an academic program & monitoring of academic progress
    • Support through the FAFSA & scholarship process
    • Access to college support services, such as tutoring & career exploration
    • Assistance with earning your Career Readiness Certificate
    • Participate in group activities and SVCC community involvement (read about a trip to the Governor's Mansion)
