TOTAL Workshop

TOTAL Workshop

Event Date:
Mar 31, 2014 (All day)
Apr 14, 2014 (All day)
We have two additional TOTAL workshops facilitated by SVCC faculty that will run this spring.  Enrollment is open for both of these workshops now through the Knowledge Center, and the actual workshops will run through Blackboard.  These are open to other VCCS colleges, so if you are interested in participating, sign up as early as possible.  We hope to have a good representation of Southside faculty (adjunct and full-time) in these sessions.

TOTAL Developing Collaborative Activities - March 31st - April 15th
(Enrollment open until noon on March 27th.)   Facilitator - Leslie Cline

TOTAL Designing Meaningful Discussion Activities  - April 14th - May 4th
(Enrollment open until noon on April 10th.)   Facilitator - Christy Lowery-Carter

These are free, non-credit workshops, but there are required activities to complete.  Peer-to-peer interaction is integral, and therefore everyone is expected to complete work on a set schedule. The assignments are graded; all assignments must be completed; and, an overall grade of 80% is required to receive a VCCS certificate of completion.

Here are the prerequisites for participating in these sessions.
  • Training or experience in the use of Blackboard.
  • Ability to use the Internet in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Basic knowledge about the operation of a computer and file management.

The specific workshops, start and end times, and workshop facilitator information has been noted above.  Click on the the title of the session for the workshop description.

I have also attached a guide with steps to enroll in either of these sessions, and included a link to the Knowledge Center below.
