On Saturday, April 4, the students in Martha Reed’s Anatomy and Physiology and Biology Classes will be hosting a “Stop Hunger Now” event.
“Stop Hunger Now” is a volunteer-based international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world. Help us reach our goal to package 10,152+ meals.
Working together we can create a world without hunger. We will be packaging nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, flavoring, vitamins and minerals. This is a fun hands-on way to make a difference and impact the lives of those suffering from hunger.
Each meal costs $0.29. We needed to raise $2944 for the event. We have already raised $1564, so we currently need $1380.
Volunteers are needed to help package the meals. We will begin at 9:00 a.m. The students will arrive at 8:00 a.m. to unload the truck and set up. The event will be held in the Workforce Building Room 108.
Monetary donations are welcome to help us pay for the meals.
