SVCC will offer a two-day Grantmanship & Grant Writing Skills workshop
Instructor: Dr. Charles Stallard
Cost $50.  Space is limited to fifteen attendees

The non-credit seminar is offered at a reduced rate and is open to anyone interested in developing skills in securing government and private foundation grants. Besides grant seeking advice and proposal writing techniques and skills, the workshop will teach you the tough questions to ask that will help you to create programs that get funded, stay funded, and are aligned with your mission.

The course is suitable for both novice and experienced grant seekers. It covers strategies for finding grant opportunities, how to get your proposal past the first read, how to research foundations and corporations that engage in philanthropy, and many other topics often never considered by individuals seeking grants.

The seminar will be led by Dr. Charles Stallard, President of the Southern Virginia Botanical Gardens, Inc. Dr. Stallard is a former Assistant Dean of Research at Old Dominion University and an accomplished author who has published more than 150 research journal articles as well as three books.

Lunch will be on your own each day. Workshop is scheduled for 12 hours over a 2-day period.
