The two-year Administrative Support Technology curriculum is designed to prepare the student for full-time employment immediately upon completion of the program. The program includes instruction in areas required for competence as office support personnel in business, government, industry, law offices, and other industries.
Students may choose one of two tracks for the degree program—General Office or Medical Office Specialist. Both tracks are designed to prepare students for full-time employment immediately upon completion of the program. The program also prepares students for certification as a Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS). In addition to the two-year degree programs, students may also choose the one-year Clerical Studies certificate program or the Medical Office Assisting career studies certificate program.
We offer day and evening classes on and off campus and cyber courses.
THE ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE (GENERAL TRACK)
(70 credit hour program)
Students who are either seeking their first employment in office positions or who are seeking promotions may benefit from this program. Graduates of this program become administrative assistants, educational secretaries, executive assistants, human resources assistants, legal secretaries, office managers, office service specialists, and technical secretaries.

THE ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE (MEDICAL OFFICE SPECIALIST TRACK)
(69 credit hour program)
The two-year Medical Office Specialist Track prepares the student for employment as a Medical Office Assistant in hospitals, physicians’ offices, nursing care facilities, health practitioners’ offices and other places where there is patient contact. This program includes courses in medical terminology, health records coding, coding and reimbursement, medical office procedures, and medical machine transcription.

The Clerical Studies certificate program is designed for students interested in attaining an entry-level skill for office employment with short-term training.
Possible employment opportunities include the positions of Bank Teller, Office Clerk, Office Services Specialist, Receptionist, and Word Processing Operator.

MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTING CAREER STUDIES CERTIFICATE
(25 credit hours)
The Medical Office Assisting Career Studies Certificate program provides the skills needed to work as a receptionist or clerical office assistant in a medical facility. Students will acquire skills in medical terminology, medical office procedures, records management, and basic computer applications. The program can be completed in two semesters. Should the student decide to pursue the two-year Administrative Support Technology degree after completing the career studies certificate (CSC), all of the 25 credits earned towards the CSC will count towards the two-year degree, leaving only 44 credits to be completed for the degree.
